Managing
Multiple Tasks
By analyzing our job task just like what I show you
guys on above table, we can manage multiple tasks at a time. It is true that
sometimes, multiple projects at one time give our trouble to manage your
schedule or time.
Most of us think that it is easier to finish one
work at a time as it is what we had been doing before. But in college life, we
need to discipline ourselves to finish all the assignments or tasks on time by
multitasking.
How to Manage Multiple Tasks
Make a Plan
Make our plan by creating project sheet. Write down
all the details such as date we need to submit the assignment, date we start
doing the project and all.
Table 2
: Example of Project Sheet
Set Priorities
Sometimes it is smart to sacrifice one project to do
well on another. It is shocking, but still it is true. For example, if we need
to sit for an exam and also a quiz on the same day. The exam gives us 40% of
course grade while the quiz only gives us 5% of course grade. Here, we need to
set priority on the examination first as it gives us more marks than the quiz.
So, focus to study more on the exam and study less
for the quiz or not study at all. This is how we should set our priorities.
Develop a System
A system for our study helps us to get things and
projects done in an excellent way. We can colour code every course or subject
that we take with different colour.
An example, colour code for English Language Course
is pink. So, we might use pink highlighter pen on the notes, pink file to
separate the papers or notes from the other course and even write our
commitment calendar using a pink inked pen for English Language Course.
Monitor Our Progress
It is good when we already know to make a plan and
develop the system for our study but that does not mean that we can keep being
motivated all the time because we somehow might feel down or stressed to get
all the assignment done.
When we already have the system and already analyzed
our task, make a “To-Do List” to make sure that your tasks are in progress day
by day
By having a careful monitoring, we can manage
multiple task for each day and achieve all of our goals.
It seems like that is all from me for today. Thank
you for reading and goodbye!
