Hello, it’s good to meet you again.

For today’s post I am going to share with you some effective tips to take lecture notes as for the last post we already know the importance of taking notes itself. So, let’s get it!

What is Cornell Method

The Cornell note taking system was developed at Cornell University. The objective of this note taking system is to help student with the note taking skills. It can help us to summarize the page of the notes and recall the topic on that note page.

How To Do Cornell Style

In order to take note using Cornell Method we need to follow few steps to get our note book ready.

1.     We need to use 8 -by-11 inches book.

2.     Divide the page with two columns.  The left one need to be  inches in width as the margin starting from the edge. Take a ruler and draw a straight line from top to bottom of the page. Label the column as Recall.

3.     The other column should be about 6 inches. At the top of that column is where we want to rite date, topic or name

4.     Take about 2 inches from the bottom of the page and draw a line horizontally. Label the column as Summary.

5.     Walla! We are ready to go.
